A residential intensive training course in Denmark

 

Introduction: The purpose of the Course is to give those involved in shoreline management and other projects related to coastal zones a wider understanding of the tools and procedures available to improve a sustainable and holistic management of the physical environment in the coastal zone.

The course will achieve these objectives by a combination of lectures, course notes, discussions, field trips, hands-on training in numerical modelling and performance of simple model tests.

Who should attend the course: The target group of participants is middle and senior managers, consulting engineers and planners active within the fields of shoreline management, planning of coastal development projects and port planning. It is expected that participants would have a graduate qualification and work experience prior to coming on the course.

The course will be conducted in English. Participants who complete the entire course will be given a Course Certificate.

The course fee covers:

  • All tuition costs
  • Accommodation incl. breakfast and week-day lunch for the entire course period
  • Travel pass for local public transport and transfers to and from airport
  • All necessary course materials
  • Personal access to PC and access to e-mail

The course fee does NOT cover:

  • International travel
  • Week-day evening meals and week-end lunches and evening meals
  • Personal expenses, laundry and other individual costs
  • Personal telephone , fax or postage
  • Any visas or necessary official documents & charges
  • Health or medical expenses
  • ANY allowances
