The "MIKE by DHI International Conference - Modelling in a World of Change" was a great success!
More than 250 present and potential users, keynote speakers and representatives from DHI (head office, global offices and agents) participated in the activities at the Clarion Hotel Copenhagen, 6-8 September 2010.
Almost 100 users delivered presentations in three parallel streams covering Cities, Coast & Sea and Water resources. On Wednesday 10 September there was a special focus on Climate Change Adaptation.
The keynote speakers included Dr. Lykke Friis, Minister for Climate and Energy, Denmark; Professor Roland Price, UNESCO-IHE, the Netherlands; Dr. Sharon Nunes, Vice President of Smart Cities Strategy & Solutions, Big Green Innovations in IBM, United States; Helen James, Senior Advisor, Environment Agency, United Kingdom; Professor Katherine Richardson, Marine Science, Copenhagen University, Chairman, Danish Government´s Commission on Climate Change Policy; Professor Toshio Koike, Professor, University of Tokyo, Japan in Copenhagen.
Eight training courses took place after the conference at the DHI head office on 9-10 September covering Cities, Water Resources and Sea & Coast. A total of 94 participants attended the courses.
